Last week at Wamo PHU, we came together to celebrate #WorldBreastfeedingWeek with the active participation of community leaders, mothers, youth, and village imams. This special gathering highlighted the shared responsibility we all have in supporting and promoting breastfeeding as a cornerstone of child health and development.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in open discussions about the vital role breastfeeding plays in providing optimal nutrition, strengthening immunity, and fostering emotional bonds between mother and child. Cultural and religious perspectives were also shared, reinforcing the message that breastfeeding is both a natural and deeply valued practice in our communities.

The day was filled with inspiration, unity, and commitment. By working together—leaders, families, and faith figures—we reaffirmed our dedication to creating an environment where every mother feels supported and every child has the best start in life. 🤱
